think the white house should be "white"

A: How many people in the U.S. think it's just plain wrong to have a "black" family in the "White" House?

B: A lot. Significant numbers. More than enough for it to be a
real problem.

A: I agree. So, how
many people in the U.S., when presented with photos like the following, would curse, and gnash their teeth, and like, hatch nefarious plots?

B: A lot. Significant numbers. More than enough for it to be a real problem.

A: I agree.

A: But then, Barack Obama's not quite the first "black" president, is he?

B: ??

A: Well, Toni Morrison said --

B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Respect to Toni Morrison, but like, that was then.

  1. Here's a link about Warren Harding.

It is well known that he had strong immediate family Black ancestry. There are pictures of his grandmother and some others and they are DEFINITELY Black. True scholars know this though mainstream media is on the hush hush about it. Public schools are nothing but cell blocks aimed to keep you parroting Eurocentric bull-crap. When Faux News and other media outlets were going on and on about "The first Black president" all I could do was give a short laugh...then mourn for the ignorance of my people.

  2. I agreed when A agreed.

As for Toni Morrison, she was onto something.

  3. People hated Bush too, and just about every other past president. Personally I think it's a dangerous thing when it becomes socially unacceptable to criticize the president as doing so can get you labeled a racist. Is it not possible that there are people who just don't agree with his socialist policies and underhanded politics? Then there's the whole conspiracy theory that he's just a puppet for the elite but I won't go into that now.

  4. Isn't this post the truth and i completely agree with it.

I also have to agree with what Qaddafi said the other day. I wouldn't mind him being president forever and then having one of his daughters continue carrying the torch of black freedom in America.

Whites don't like a black president? No surprise there. It's time to take the Europe out of our education system (have to agree with the first poster). On top of that, start restricting whites lives from the most basic things such as where they're allowed to live and how much education they get right up to restricting their freedom of travel.

This will create the utopia America is meant to be. Whites have never done a thing to help this nation. George Washington was no one important in American history and white presidents have only steadily worse since then. Therefore, we need to curb white influence in this nation.

Let's push to make the white house permanently black. I'm thinking of creating an online and offline petition for people to sign in hopes of abolishing presidential term limits for the Obama administration.

    Who's with me?

  5. BlackNation, I hope your post was intended to be ironic. It is white people who voted Obama into presidency.

Well, it sure doesn't seem to be stopping anyone. Even you, with "underhanded politics"...

  7. Julia, you don't know how many people keep their opinions to themselves for fear of social isolation. You only see the people who are vocal about their opinions.

Are you saying that it's good to label people who dare criticize the president?

Think about it. Bush and every other president in the history of the United States were criticized by someone, and they were white. So it can't just be "racism."

  8. "Personally I think it's a dangerous thing when it becomes socially unacceptable to criticize the president as doing so can get you labeled a racist."

That's the new meme, apparently. I suppose I should've expected that people would react like this. It's how every dispute on racism goes, isn't it? "You're being so racist!" "No I'm not, can't I even say X without being accused of racism? Oh noes, PC police, thought control, blah blah blah ad nauseum."

We need to find a way, as a nation, to address racism without getting sucked into this ridiculous and unproductive conversation. I like to think Obama has the ability to help us do that, but he certainly isn't helping by saying people aren't criticizing him because of race. But he's a busy guy and he can't do everything for us.

Now I'm all curious as to what the solution is to this problem.

  9. While I haven't been paying attention to politics for long (I only started caring at 17 and now I'm only 23), I've never been more scared for another person in my life. There are some seriously disturbed people out there that would just love to kill President Obama just for being black. The truly frightening thing? Sometimes I think that a large percentage of Americans would publicly support any assassination attempt. (But really, they would go 'Boo-ho' in public and privately throw their ugly parties.)

Also, BlackNation, you are a moron. Just because our president is popular and charismatic doesn't mean we want to switch over to a monarchy. So crawl back under your bridge, you goat-fearing troll.

  10. THANK YOU, bluey.

I'm seeing this meme everywhere and it's driving me nuts.

When the extent of the criticism is name-calling, it's pretty easy to conclude that the critic is racially-motivated. Criticism of Bush included citation of international law and constitutional provisions that he was violating and subverting. As soon as you and others can get beyond labeling policies as "socialist," as though that's all it takes to make a case, maybe somebody will actually listen and not dismiss you as an oblivious racist.

  13. We need to find a way, as a nation, to address racism without getting sucked into this ridiculous and unproductive conversation.

The first thing: There has to be a generalized recognition that someone who defines themselves primarily as "white," even amid a handful of other adjectives (male/female, old/young, etc), is perpetuating racism, because the prior categorization--before black, brown, red, or yellow, the one which makes all the others "meaningful"-- "whiteness," defines all the others against that "norm."

  14. I can't say what i said any clearer. If you believe i'm a "white troll" then so be it. It doesn't change the truth that i'm not a "troll" and that i'm not white.

  15. Why was my comment censored? I guess comments that don't add anything are fine as long as they're on your side, right? Of course my comment, which actually did add to the discussion, needed to be censored since it went against your point of view.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Wrong, Crab. People whose comments are disallowed here usually assume it's because I disagree with the comment. Look around more carefully here -- a lot of comments appear that I obviously disagree with. Yours was censored because it was personally abusive toward another commenter.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yep, because "headdesk, headdesk, headdesk" adds a whole lot to the discussion, and isn't abusive at all.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I agree, Crab, it's not abusive. Unless that person really is hitting the desk with that body part that many times -- that could hurt.
